JOURNEY TO THE TENT OF ABRAHAM: THE SECOND STEP
Women, Men, Students, Children
EVERYONE is invited to join Women Transcending Boundaries (WTB) on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 1:00 to 5:30 PM for a 1.7-mile walk to visit eight local faith-based sites.
Enter each site – Methodist, Episcopalian, Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, Pagan, and
interfaith – to hear fascinating histories and experience meaningful rituals and celebrations.
At the end of the walk, listen as a storyteller relates tales of diversity and religious freedom that go back nearly 200 years in our community. Receive blessings from Bahá’í, Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, and other faith traditions. Then enjoy ethnic refreshments and good conversation.
The walk starts at 1:00 PM at University United Methodist Church (1085 East Genesee Street) and concludes with a gathering at Hendricks Chapel (on the SU campus) from 4:45 to 5:30 PM.
