Without A Whisper

Last Sunday was a wonderful community building event and I want to share it with you too. The Onondaga Historical Association, Manlius Cinema, Of Moose and Mind Bookstore, and the Matilda Joslyn Gage Museum & Center joined together for a screening of Without a Whisper Konnonkwe. The 27 minute documentary shows the connection between the women of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and their influence on the women's right movement. This was a true look behind the curtain of how these women, like Matilda, who were nothing but property in American law, could see themselves as equals. The story follows Gage Foundation founder, Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner and Mohawk clan mother Louise Herne.

I was honored to join director Katsitsionni Fox in a Q&A after the screening for this SOLD OUT presentation.
