The Poet Speaks with Amanda Eke

The Poet Speaks is a documentary-style series hosted by Amanda Eke that explores

the power of poetry as a cultural and historical force. In each episode, Amanda embarks

on a poetic journey—diving deep into local communities and uncovering the rich oral

traditions that shape them. From the bustling streets of New York City to the vibrant

neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, Amanda meets with poets, artists, and cultural

experts to examine how spoken word and storytelling preserve rituals, transmit identity,

and connect generations.

At this special screening, we will not only be watching a preview of Season Two, but we will have a chance to talk with the creator of the series, Amanda Eke.
