Homeschool History - Flag Day Session
We will be learning about the Civil War battle flag made by the women of Fayetteville. The project for the day will be to recreate the flag. The finished flag will be on display at the museum for the remainder of 2026, so this is your chance to help make a museum exhibit! All participants will be credited on the exhibition label.
Haudenosaunee Influence on the Women's Rights Movement
Matilda Joslyn Gage Executive Director, Ciarrai Eaton, will present on the influences of the Haudenosaunee women, government, and culture on the development of the United States Women’s Rights movement. This event will take place at the Seneca Falls Historic Society.

How To Raise A Citizen (And Why It's Up To You To Do It)
The League of Women Voters of Syracuse Metro Area and the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation present:
Dr. Lindsey Cormack, to speak about her book How to Raise a Citizen (and Why It’s Up to You to Do It).In this live presentation, Dr. Cormack will discuss with parents and educators how to teach kids about politics, government, and citizenship in a way that is engaging, practical, and non-partisan. She is offering us the guidebook to nurturing the next generation of responsible, informed citizens. Educational information and books will be available during the event.
5pm - 5:30pm: Learn more about the League of Women Voters and Matilda Joslyn Gage
5:30pm - 7pm: Speaker Dr. Lindsey Cormack, followed by Q & A
7:00pm - 7:30pm Book Signing

Dr. Lindsey Cormack – BIO
Lindsey Cormack, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the DCinbox Project at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. She has authored two books, How to Raise a Citizen (And Why it's Up to You to Do It) and Congress and U.S. Veterans: From the GI Bill to the VA Crisis.Her research has been published in Political Behavior, Congress & the Presidency, American Politics Research, and The Legislative Scholar, (among many others) as well as in popular outlets including the New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC News, The Hill, FOX, and more.
